Brian Klenk
Brian Klenk is the Director of Facilities Infrastructure and Services, he is responsible for the planning, design, implementation and on-going maintenance of the facilities infrastructure. These duties also include facility services that support library operations, programs and projects.
He enjoys the variety and the experience of maintaining nine different facilities. He strives to create a welcoming environment and proactive customer service approach for staff and customers through his attention to the mechanical equipment, building infrastructure, janitorial services, groundskeeping, building and staff security, equipment and building repairs, shipping and receiving services, and delivery services including materials distribution, branch service, and program support.
Brian received a certificate in business management in the late 90s, followed by a Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) real property administrator designation and a facility management administrator designation. He worked with the Canadian Red Cross and Canadian Blood Services over a 23-year period in various roles before accepting the RPL position. He has acquired a certificate of ergonomics and the Rick Hansen accessibility certification while working at the library.
Brian is a current member of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Saskatchewan (BOMA Saskatchewan) and has a position within its board of directors. He also has a seat on the Council of the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home.
