You can do post-production editing on musical tracks and video, colour-correct photos, and create original artwork on the media workstations inside the Digital Media Studio. We currently have five media workstations, generously supported by Greystone Managed Investments Inc.
Workstations are available for customers working on digital media projects. General computing activities are not priorities in the Digital Media Studio and will only be permitted when undertaken in conjunction with legitimate digital media project work. Reservations are required to use the workstations which can be made on these pages or at the Studio itself.
Customers may reserve workstations for up to 3 hours a day. Sessions may be extended at the discretion of staff depending on availability. These hours are in addition to all other hours available on RPL public computers and laptops.
Customers will require a valid SILS library card to reserve a computer. The library card used to make the reservation must match the card presented upon check-in. If the customer does not have their card present when checking in a reasonable effort will be made to validate that the customer was the one who made the reservation.
The entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite of products is available on all our media workstations. Some highlighted products are listed below along with other available software. Unless otherwise noted, software is available on all media workstations.
Special use equipment is also available, but must be checked out on your library card on a per use basis.

Digital Media Studio workstations, green screen studio, and WhisperRoom recording studio space is bookable in 3 hour blocks during Studio operating hours. The Studio itself can be found next to the Dunlop Art Gallery on the main floor of Central Library.
When you arrive for your booking a Digital Media Studio staff member will be available to walk you through a brief orientation of the equipment and show you where you can access additional support material to guide you through your project.
