Reception - Make a Mark: Sacred Animals

Description

Join us for the opening reception of Make a Mark: Sacred Animals, the 5th annual art exhibit by Ranch Ehrlo Society participants and art facilitator Dustin Ritter.

Additional Information

Make a Mark: Sacred Animals celebrates community joy and passion with its 5th annual art display. The participants in the art project are a mix of youth from Ranch Ehrlo’s Schaller Education Centre, youth from various public schools around Regina, and youth and adults from Ranch Ehrlo’s vocational programs who have differing abilities. Youth can make their mark and showcase their artwork to the public thanks to a partnership with Dunlop Art Gallery/Regina Public Library. This year we celebrate Ranch Ehrlo's 60th anniversary.

“The style of art focuses on pointillism, and drip and drag techniques so participants at every skill level can be involved. Even if they think they can't paint they can still literally make a mark,” explained Dustin Ritter, art facilitator at Ranch Ehrlo.

"Dunlop Art Gallery is excited to continue its partnership with Ranch Ehrlo Society. It’s a wonderful opportunity for community members to come together, discover, and learn about the power of art," said Sarah Pitman, arts educator, Dunlop Art Gallery.

Ranch Ehrlo Society is a multi-service non-profit that operates group living, clinical, family, community, and educational programs across the province.

Regina Public Library is a dynamic hub of literacy, learning, curiosity, and new ideas integral to the social and economic vibrancy of Regina. We inspire individuality, connection, and diversity.
