The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin will offer a glimpse into the personal experiences and professional challenges that shaped her legacy, from growing up on the prairie to becoming the first female and longest serving Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada.
McLachlin will share stories from her life and career that illuminate how she navigated the challenges of being a pioneering woman in law while authoring decisions that continue to shape Canadian society, including landmark cases on same-sex marriage, the right to die, and the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
McLachlin is also the bestselling author of three novels, Full Disclosure, Denial, and Proof, and a memoir Truth Be Told, My Journey Through Life and the Law.
