What to expect: Music in the Morning Wellness Program leaders are professionally trained musicians, educators and medical professionals, so you’re in good hands! They teach in a light-hearted, fun and welcoming way and enjoy gentle humour. The relationship between breath and the effects on relaxation on overall health is well-established. Expression of sound with the voice (singing—and it’s not about how good or in tune you think you are!) is also greatly beneficial to the health of mind, body and spirit!

Each session is a lot of fun, and is broken down into two segments:

First, a gentle exercise session. Sit if you wish, stand if you’re able! Move as you can as we guide you through slow, super gentle stretches and, simple but helpful natural breathing skills. Feel your energy start to build, little by little and notice how you feel wonderful and more relaxed than when you arrived!

Next, you'll take those same helpful breathing skills and do some very easy vocal exercises. Again, it doesn’t matter if you’re already a singing pro or only able to sing in the shower very softly lest anyone hear . This will help you! And together we'll have some fun singing a variety of songs from nursery rhymes, rounds, campfire, old-timey folk, country, oldies rock, Broadway, and more—there’s something for you here–come join us!
