Presenter Information: Taanishi! I'm Cassie Fisher, and I'm thrilled to have this opportunity to connect with you. As a proud Michif, my roots run deep in the Lebret and Willow Bunch areas, and I cherish the rich cultural heritage that comes with it. Crafting has always been a passion of mine, especially when it comes to sewing and working with traditional materials like beads, porcupine quills, and caribou hair. About a decade ago, I embarked on a journey to learn the art of beading, and it's been a fulfilling and creative outlet ever since. In addition to my love for crafting, I've been fortunate to share my knowledge and enthusiasm with young minds as a grade 7/8 teacher for the past nine years. Connecting with others and sharing experiences is something I treasure.
