A human soldier is sent from 2029 to 1984 to stop an almost indestructible cyborg killing machine, sent from the same year, which has been programmed to execute a young woman whose unborn son is the key to humanity's future salvation.
Elka Scott's Introduction:
If you're afraid of AI today, chances are that fear comes from seeing The Terminator. I know mine certainly does. Launching Arnold “Ahnald” Schwarzenegger into stardom and introducing the world to Skynet, The Terminator is remembered as a classic of science fiction for good reason. The story, the ground-breaking effects and the sheer 80's bombasticness of this film has cemented it in the minds of the public since it's debut in 1984. I remember watching it on TV twenty years after it's release and still being terrified of the titular robot. Has that changed since? No, no it hasn't. Let's hope we never have to see a Skynet or murderous robot in real life, but you can and should see this amazing movie.
