Frieso Boning and Jeff Gillman, Krazy Kats You Never Even Actually Ever Liked Me Anyway, CD and cover, Photo: Don Hall

Greatest Hits turns the gallery into an imaginary CD store complete with music, security camera and gates. Manitoba artists Frieso Boning and Jeff Gillman transform the space with work that is about packaging, presentation, communication and imagination with references to popular culture and psychology. The audio/music-related works are intended to raise questions about the role of the gallery visitor, the accepted methods of art production or consumption, and the notion of originality in art. The exhibition is a meeting place for two established Manitoba artists. Frieso Boning is the visual artist, whose CD covers are about ambiguity and ideas expressed within a limited format. Jeff Gillman, the audio and CD production co-ordinator, is an intermedia artist working primarily in the areas of video and audio. Presented with the financial assistance of the Saskatchewan Arts Board and The Canada Council.
