Additional Information

Don Hall (Regina), V. Tony Hauser (Toronto), Edouard Lock (Montréal), Michael Slobodian (Montréal), and Cylla von Tiedmann (Toronto)

Other associated events: Opening reception, December 4, 1997

Elton, former editor of the nationally acclaimed magazine Dance Connection, has access to dozens of photographs of dancers. Documentary dance photography is a genre which has not been widely considered, and adds another dimension to the Dunlop's exploration of visual culture. As New Dance Horizons is celebrating their tenth anniversary, this exhibition also acts as an acknowledgement of their critical presence in the city of Regina and presents their history in a new context. Elton was invited to Regina as the Dunlop's Critic-in-Residence for 1997.
