For the 26th edition of Adjust Tracking, we will be viewing the Mexican VHS release of Timesweep from 1987. Apparently released North America on VHS yet impossible to find and basically non-existent, the Japanese VHS has served as the most common edition the film has been viewed on since director Dan Diefenderer launched it into the world in the late 1980s, his singular feature length film! I've never seen another copy of the Mexican release so I'm happy to share this edition for the screening, it truly has wonderful charm!
A group of people enter an old movie studio and are suddenly confronted with a variety of strange phenomena. Among other things they are transported through time and the building is surrounded by a deadly acid fog. The filmmakers also throw Roman centurions, alien spaceships and giant killer roaches at the hapless explorers, confronting the groups one by one!

The RPL Film Theatre screens the best of world cinema – up to 15 films a month. The Film Theatre has “something for everyone” and is the only cinema in the city to consistently present critically-acclaimed contemporary and alternative cinema: Canadian, foreign and independent films and documentaries.
For more than 50 years, Regina Public Library (RPL) has played a pivotal role in the cultural life of the city of Regina and surrounding areas. In the mid-60s, interest in a permanent venue for film enthusiasts grew into a program at the Library – a co-operative effort between the local Film Council and the National Film Board of Canada. A landmark year for the cultural, multi-cultural and surrounding business communities was 1975, the year the RPL Film Theatre was officially launched.
