Jude Griebel works between Bergen, AB, Canada and Brooklyn, NY, USA. He has completed numerous international residencies including Halle 14 Center for Contemporary Art (Leipzig), the International Studio and Curatorial Program (New York) and Pioneer Works (New York). Recent solo exhibitions include Esker Foundation, Calgary, AB; Redpath Museum, Montreal,QC and Galerie Johannes Sturm, Nuremberg, Germany. Griebel is a three-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant for emerging figurative artists.
Jill Ho-You is an Assistant Professor in Print Media at the Alberta University of the Arts. Her practice explores the intersection of trauma, embodied memory and the environment through a mixture of print media, installation, and drawing. Her work has been exhibited at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Alberta Printmakers in Calgary, AB, Kyoto Municipal Museum of Art, Japan, International Print Center New York, NY, and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art, ROC.
Sylvia Ziemann works in sculpture, painting, installation, video and curation. She is fascinated with carnivals, end of the world scenarios, survivalist tendencies and the animals who live amongst us. She holds a Diploma in Painting from ACAD (Alberta University of the Arts), a BFA from NASCAD and MFA from the University of Regina where she teaches painting, drawing and sculpture.
Cindy Baker is a contemporary artist based in Western Canada whose work engaging with queer, gender, disability, fat, and art discourses draws upon 25 years working and organizing in her communities. Baker has exhibited and performed across Canada and internationally, and continues to maintain volunteer leadership roles across her communities.
