Regina Public Library opened its first shopping mall location as what was then known as Regent Park Branch in 1966.
Since 1995, Regent Place Branch called 107 Albert Street home, and provided the community with a full-service Library Branch.
In February 2012, the Branch moved into a temporary location in the Regina Market Mall, while a new Regent Place Branch was being designed and built.
The new Regent Place Branch opened on August 15, 2012 in the Regina Market Mall at 331 Albert Street. The new Branch:
- is 11,500 ft2, or almost 30% larger than the old Branch, which was 9,000 ft2
- allows the community greater flexibility in accessing its 30,000 item collection, and programs
- is a welcoming space designed to meet the needs of the community
- has new shelving and furniture
- provides better access and parking, and
- has energy efficient windows and insulation.
Class Visits and Outreach
Teachers are invited to schedule class visits to the Branch and/or arrange for a staff member to visit area schools. Call 777-6103 for more information, or to make arrangements for a visit.
