This site has information from the Government of Saskatchewan for people planning to write a GED (General Education Development) test. English Express
This newspaper for adult learners of English in Alberta is published 8 times a year from September to May. It includes news reports, articles of relevance to newcomers, learners' stories, word games, and teaching notes for tutors and instructors. The articles are archived on a companion website, which provides listening practice and learning activities.
Interactive Spelling
This exercise provides text with audio support of simple passages, and then students have to type in the correct words that go into blanks. Passages are available in varying levels of difficulty.
TumbleBook Library
TumbleBook Library is available on the Kid Space page of the Regina Public Library website. Click on TumbleBook Library at the top of the page to get a variety of stories that can be both read and listened to. Story Books are the easiest to read, Tumble Readables are for people with intermediate English reading skills, and Audio Books are for listening only - no written text is available for reading.
